Sunrise & Low cars:

Saturday, August 31 2019… Labor day weekend, while most are out setting barbecues gearing up to see friends/family before school goes back into session, we’re lined up in front of a convention center at 6am on a Saturday. Why you ask? simple we’re here for Import Evolution. Now i don’t know the history on IE, but I do know that they are one of the few that hold some of the best shows/meets locally. This was our first time at an official show which ended up being like their meets but better.

It was clear to us that we were probably the few that were crazy enough to be up this early for a show that started at noon.

Lucky is all about the static life. Now it may be harder for him to get into certain venues, its definitely a flex to be able to drive it how you park it.

The sunrise was nicer than usual that day. The city was still asleep as we waited patiently waiting for the green light to get in the building. It was the quietest Worcesters been in my experience.

Guess who’s car died in the line…I think its time to replace that battery

I always try to take advantage of the early roll ins. It gives me a chance to get a photos before it gets too crowded. With the lights not being on, it made it a bit difficult to shoot some cars but I was able to get some stuff.

Jayro flexing the CCW’s and the cat sun shade courtesy of our friend Sam. The OG’s of the THICC crew!

Stephen Kim’s aka PandaSti's Rhd S2000 sitting pretty out front.

Bagged Va’s were as common as a Dunkin Donuts in Massachusetts at this event. They all looked rad though.

Rival showed up to win. Execution is key and these guys kill as usual

Something I haven’t seen before was this steam cleaning service. I can’t recall the name of the company that was doing it but it was cool seeing them get everyone ready for the show.

Showtime:

Lights finally came on meaning it was showtime. I won’t speak too much on all the photos but I’ll point out some of the ones that stand out to me.

Leenda Lucia’s many faces. From working the floor to hanging out with kids hosting on stage, you can tell she was extremely busy through out the day.

As you can see there was also a bikini contest at IE. I haven’t been to a show thats had one since the Nopi Nationals tour back in the day. Faith took a well deserved win.

We weren’t expecting much in terms of awards. We brought a real nice car but not enough to win anything. Tyler took home best air fitment in his wrx. Another well deserved win, you can see a glimpse of his car in the background.

Rollout:

The roll out was similar to first class fitment, the only downside was that I was only about to get a few cars because they opened two doors. Most of the cars exit’d the door I wasn’t at so I missed them all. On the plus side I was on the side that had these gems sitting out front.

Ryan Mirandas Jz S13 coupe is a prime example of style and function. The roof design was super cool with its low rider vibe paint job.

Also in the mix is Ian (And_Ian) weber’s LS1 swapped 240sx and Julio’s ( Superrlo) GT86.

The streets slowly turned into a controlled riot. Cars were leaving loud and fast, all really enjoyable to watch. We posted on the side street waiting for all of our friends to get out so we could grab dinner before dispersing.

Overall the event was an extremely good time. Awesome cars, awesome people you couldn’t ask for a better mixture.

If you guys made it this far thank you for the support and a special thank you for the people bearing with me on the T shirts. Its been extended way beyond a reasonable time but I have been working really hard at getting everything settled and corrected. They will be shipping shortly, just hold on a little bit longer!!

If you love this and support this be sure to share this with as many people as possible, leave comments as im always looking to improve and stay tuned for future projects. Lots of exciting news coming. Until then Aloha!
