Japanese Car Day at Larz Auto Museum 2021

It’s hard not to appreciate every event for what they each provide, but Japanese Car Day is a top contender for my favorite. It showcases an epic dichotomy of highly modified habitual show-runners, and the hidden gems revealed almost exclusively at high profile events like this one. I definitely wanted to share the thrill with a friend, so I called Mack and we carpooled to Larz Auto Museum to check it all out. Upon arrival, I grabbed my backpack, and shot as many photos as I could.
The Jza80 with the CCW classics wheel combo; a nice surprise for someone who hardly sees them on the road!
Michael Camadeco brought out his weekend warrior AP1 to catch some rays, but not without showing us that Pikachu means business.
Mike was with his brother, Jon Camadeco, who brought his newly acquired ‘93 Mazda Rx-7.
Jose Seeley’s car also made an appearance showing us a proper zenki. This one’s easily one of my favorite street cars in the area.
This super cool Jz swapped S13 coupe was tucked away in the corner. By the looks of the war marks, this car has seen some action.

After a couple hours of shooting, I put the camera away. There was plenty more to see, but not enough room to get the right angles… that, and the sunlight was making it impossible to get the right pictures. So, Mack and I walked back to my car so we could get some lunch. My keys, which had been in my backpack, had actually fallen out of the bag and were taunting us from inside the locked trunk. Although we were too hungry to find this funny at the time, I did have a laugh writing about it again. Without good company like Mack, waiting three hours for AAA to show up could feel like three days. Let this be a reminder to be aware of your keys at all times.
