This entry is a little unorthodox. I’ve compiled pictures of Devin’s car over the past months and wanted to do something with it but it didn’t make sense to make an individual post for each set. Instead you’ll get to see how it all changed in one post, at least in the last 5 months.
Before we get started I’d like to mention that Devin is one of the first few people that lent a hand in my journey of Drift. I’ve always admired it but didn’t start diving into it until I purchased my FR-S. It was Devin and Eric Clark that guided me through on how to drive this car. I didn’t realize how difficult drifting was let alone how difficult it was to drift this particular chassis until I went after it. Anyways, I say that to say drifting is more fun when you get to do it with your friends. Thanks for being my friend Devin, now here’s your photo dump!

When I met Devin had had an early model FR-S that faced a pretty substantial damage caused by another driver. Unfortunately, the car was deemed totaled forcing him to give up the car. He became a 350Z owner briefly and then made the big switch back to a Zn6/ZC6 chassis which is the car you see below. It started its life as a stock BRZ Limited in Dark Metallic Grey, went through its round of light modifications then tragedy struck. As in, a Nissan Pathfinder played the role of tragedy and literally struck the side of Devins BRZ weeks before the Lock City Night Stage Invitational. After a solid attempt on Devins side, the car ended up falling way short of the deadline. He ended up borrowing my car for the event and as luck would have it, I crashed my own car the day after on skid pad. So that’s two Zn6/ZC6 chassis’s down in a matter of a month. As bad of a wreck as it was, I was able to fix my car within the week. Unfortunately Devin wasn’t so lucky. Weeks had gone by, then months until finally the car was released from autobody prison. After all that hell, the car makes a return as one of the coolest 86’s around. Devin’s TV3 Brilliant Blue ZC6.

Street Style is the best style.

Devin is the Model V and Greddy front spoiler enthusiasts. If you ever get the chance, ask him how many lips and model v’s he’s gone through.

Strobe game crazy!

Kris Osgood paid a visit while I was attempting to fix Devins control arm. After a whole day of hanging out, he decided the car wasn’t low enough and took matters into his own hands.

The tail light choice changed the vibe of the car. Its probably my favorite change he’s made on this car to date.

Work Equip 40’s fit this car so well. It’s one of the most sophisticated purpose built drift cars around.

I’m almost positive Kris got his matching fender buckle at the same event that Devin got his quarter panel buckle. I can also appreciate battle scars on drift cars. It gives it character.

The Model V’s eventually returned. The 35 sidewall and the altered height definitely helped make the wheels look way cooler. I prefer them over flat face TE37’S.

I finally took my car out to do some street driving. Its fun to see two extremely different variations of the same car built for the same purpose parked together.

Bronze Type 1 face front, and Gold Type 2 face rear Volk GT-C’s. Mismatch town sort of.

This is KPMF Black/Red Iridescent vinyl wrap believe it or not. Looks pretty close to paint from a distance.
